Assembly Elections 2024: The Election Commission has announced the dates for assembly elections in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir. Voting in Haryana, which has 90 seats, will take place on October 1, and results will be declared on October 4. Maharashtra and Jharkhand will also have elections later this year, but dates are yet to be announced.
A survey conducted by Matrix Survey Agency and broadcasted by Times Now on Friday indicates that if elections were held today, no party would be able to secure a clear majority in Haryana, Jharkhand, or Maharashtra.
Who Will Gain the Most in Maharashtra?
According to the survey, in Maharashtra, the BJP is expected to win 95 to 105 seats, the Shiv Sena led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde could get 19 to 24 seats, and the NCP led by Ajit Pawar might secure 7 to 12 seats.
The Congress is estimated to win 42 to 47 seats, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) might get 26 to 31 seats, and the NCP-Samajwadi Party alliance led by Sharad Pawar is expected to win 23 to 28 seats. Other parties and candidates could win 11 to 16 seats.
In terms of vote share, the survey predicts BJP will get 25.8%, Shiv Sena 14.2%, NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) 5.2%, Congress 18.6%, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) 17.6%, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) 6.2%, and others 12.4%.
As for the most preferred Chief Minister candidate in Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde leads with 27% of the respondents favoring him, followed by Uddhav Thackeray with 23%, Devendra Fadnavis with 21%, and Sharad Pawar with 9%.
Who Will Form the Government in Haryana?
In Haryana’s 90-member assembly, the contest is expected to be tight. The BJP-led alliance could win 37 to 42 seats, the Congress might get 33 to 38 seats, JJP could secure 3 to 8 seats, and other parties might win 7 to 12 seats.
No party is expected to win a clear majority, but BJP has a slight edge.
Who Will Be the CM in Jharkhand?
In the 81-member Jharkhand assembly, BJP is projected to win 38 to 43 seats, JMM could get 19 to 24 seats, Congress might win 7 to 12 seats, AJSUP could get 2 to 7 seats, and others might win 3 to 8 seats.
BJP seems poised to achieve a majority with 42 seats. Babulal Marandi is the most preferred candidate for the Chief Minister position in Jharkhand with 41% support, followed by Hemant Soren with 32%, Arjun Munda with 9%, Champai Soren with 5%, and others with 13%.
