Oppo is set to launch its new K series in India, starting with the K12x 5G, which will debut on July 29. The device has been listed on Flipkart with a “Flipkart Unique” sticker, indicating that it will be an exclusive online launch.
The Oppo K12x 5G boasts a durable design, featuring a 360-degree damage-resistant armor body that uses drop-resistant materials inspired by the structure of a sponge to cushion its internal components. The display is protected by double-reinforced Panda Glass, and the smartphone carries MIL-STD-810H military standard certification for durability. Additionally, the device will come with an air cushion armor case for added protection.
The K12x 5G will weigh 186g and measure 7.68mm at its thinnest point, with a matte finish frame for improved grip. It will be available in two colors: Breeze Blue and Midnight Violet.
While Oppo has not confirmed if the Indian variant will be the same as the China variant, the Chinese model’s specs give us an idea of what to expect. The Oppo K12x features:
- 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080, peak brightness of 2100 nits, and standard brightness of 1200 nits
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor clocked at 2.2GHz, paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage
- 5500mAh battery with fast charging support through various protocols, including SuperVOOC, VOOC 3.0, PD3.0, and UFCS
- 50-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture and autofocus, 2-megapixel portrait lens with f/2.4 aperture, and 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.4 aperture and 82-degree field of view
