Wrestler Vinesh Phogat has returned to India. She arrived at Delhi Airport on Saturday, 17th August, at 10:52 AM, where she received a grand welcome. Vinesh had performed brilliantly at the Paris Olympics. However, before the final match, she was disqualified due to being 100 grams overweight. After this, she fought a legal battle in the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) for the silver medal, but she was not successful.

A program has been arranged for her welcome, during which she will have a roadshow from Dwarka Expressway to Balali village in Charkhi Dadri, Haryana.
Route Map Prepared for the Program
Her brother, Harvinder Phogat, mentioned that a route map has been prepared for the program. She is expected to reach her village by the evening, where a ceremony has been organized to honor her. In Balali, various sweets, including laddus, have been prepared to welcome Vinesh. Considering the bad weather, tents have been set up in the village to protect against the rain.
