The second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh started on August 30 in Rawalpindi. After losing the first Test, Pakistan made two major changes for the second Test. Fast bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah have been dropped from the team. They are replaced by Abrar Ahmed and Mir Hamza.

In the first Test, Pakistan used four bowlers: Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shehzad, and Mohammad Ali. Despite this, the team suffered a heavy 10-wicket defeat. The performance of Shaheen and Naseem was not impressive. Naseem took 3 wickets but bowled 27.3 overs, while Shaheen took 2 wickets after 30 overs. Neither managed to take a wicket in the second innings.
