For the first time, a strict measure is being taken by the electricity distribution company in Madhya Pradesh. The company has decided to make the names of big electricity bill defaulters public. According to this decision, the company will post the names of major defaulters on social media platforms like Facebook, X, and Instagram.

The Central Electricity Distribution Company will post information about consumers who have not paid their electricity bills on time, including their names, addresses, and the amount owed, on various social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, X, and Instagram. They will also appeal to these consumers to pay their bills.

List of 16 Districts Prepared

According to information from the Central Electricity Distribution Company, a list of big defaulters from all 16 districts under the Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior, and Chambal divisions has been prepared. These names will be made public through social media.

Top 20 Defaulters First

The company plans to first make the names of the top 20 defaulters public from its list of all categories of defaulters. After that, the list of all defaulters will also be shared on social media. The company has all the details of its consumers, including names and mobile numbers.

A WhatsApp group is being created for consumers, where the list of defaulters will be shared so everyone can see how many defaulters are in their area. This information will also be spread on other social media platforms like X, Facebook, and Instagram.

Recently, the company made a list of defaulters in the Gwalior region public at public places and on social media. Many consumers paid their overdue bills after seeing their names, and the company removed their names from the list.
