Indian smartphone brand Lava International has officially launched the new Lava Shark 2 5G in India, targeting users looking for an affordable 5G smartphone with a large battery, clean software experience, and practical daily performance. The new device joins the company’s growing Shark lineup, which already includes the Lava Shark 4G and Shark 5G models launched earlier this year.
With aggressive competition in the sub-Rs 15,000 smartphone market from brands like Xiaomi, POCO, Realme, Motorola, Infinix, and Tecno, Lava appears to be focusing on users who prefer a simple, reliable smartphone experience instead of flashy marketing features.
Lava Shark 2 5G Price in India and Availability
The Lava Shark 2 5G has been launched in a single 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant priced at Rs 11,999. The smartphone will be available in Sonar Gold and Arya Blue colour options.
Sales for the device will begin from June 10 through offline retail stores across India.
Lava is also continuing its “Free Service @ Home” support programme with the Shark 2 5G. This could become a useful advantage for buyers in smaller cities and towns where after-sales service quality often plays a major role in long-term user experience.
