Lenovo is getting ready to introduce its latest compact gaming tablet, the Legion Y700 Infinite, in China later this month. The tablet is scheduled to make its debut on August 25, 2026, and the company has already revealed several key specifications.
With a flagship Snapdragon processor, a high-refresh-rate OLED screen and a compact form factor, the Y700 Infinite is being positioned as a performance-focused tablet for gamers and power users.
8.4-inch OLED Panel With 165Hz Refresh Rate
The Legion Y700 Infinite will feature an 8.4-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The combination should deliver smoother animations and responsive gameplay, particularly in supported games.
Lenovo has also highlighted the tablet’s slim display bezels, measuring just 2.89mm. To achieve this design, the company has opted for a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera.
This is different from the Legion Tab Gen 5, which has a more uninterrupted display design.
Powerful Snapdragon Chipset
Performance is expected to be the main attraction of the new Legion tablet.
Lenovo has confirmed an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version. The processor’s prime cores can reach 4.74GHz, while the GPU is reportedly clocked at up to 1.3GHz.
For comparison, the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 version has lower CPU and GPU clock speeds. The higher frequencies should provide additional performance for gaming, multitasking and other demanding applications.
AnTuTu Score Crosses 4.5 Million
Lenovo has claimed an impressive 4,585,844-point AnTuTu score for the Legion Y700 Infinite.
The claimed result is above the recent average scores associated with the RedMagic Astra 2, which have reportedly fallen in the range of roughly 4.16 million to 4.30 million points.
However, benchmark scores can vary depending on software, temperature and testing conditions, so real-world performance will need to be assessed after the tablet becomes available.
Battery Capacity Still Unconfirmed
Lenovo has not officially disclosed the battery specifications yet. According to a recent leak, the tablet could pack a 7,500mAh battery and support 68W wired charging.
These details have not been confirmed by Lenovo, so they should be considered tentative until the company makes an official announcement.
If accurate, the battery configuration would be smaller than that of some competing compact gaming tablets.
Launch Date, Price and Availability
The Lenovo Legion Y700 Infinite will launch in China on August 25, 2026.
The company has yet to announce its price or confirm the available RAM and storage variants. Details about the camera setup and battery are also expected to be revealed closer to the launch.
There is currently no official confirmation regarding a global release.
A Compact Tablet Built for Gaming
The Legion Y700 Infinite is shaping up to be one of Lenovo’s most performance-oriented compact tablets. The combination of an 8.4-inch 165Hz OLED display, overclocked Snapdragon chipset and ultra-thin bezels gives it a strong specification sheet.
The biggest question now is pricing. If Lenovo manages to keep the device competitively priced, the Y700 Infinite could become a strong alternative to other compact gaming tablets when it launches later this month.
