Maruti Suzuki has launched the e-Vitara, its first electric SUV in India, revolutionizing EV ownership with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model. Priced from ₹10.99 lakh (ex-showroom, without battery), it offers up to 543 km range and advanced features for urban and highway drivers.

Launch and Pricing Details

The e-Vitara launched in February 2026 after unveiling in December 2025, with sales now live via NEXA dealerships. Base Delta 49 kWh variant without battery costs ₹10.99 lakh, while full ownership starts at ₹15.99 lakh; top Alpha 61 kWh is ₹18.79 lakh. Battery rental adds ₹3.99 per km, making it accessible amid high upfront costs.

Built on HEARTECT-e platform, it measures 4275 mm long with 2700 mm wheelbase, seating five comfortably. The 49 kWh LFP battery delivers 142 bhp, 192.5 Nm torque, and 500 km range; 61 kWh ups it to 543 km with FWD/AWD options. Fast charging hits 10-80% in 45 minutes via CCS-II.
