Maulana Razvi Criticizes Salman Khan’s Ram Mandir Watch, Calls It a Sin

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is facing criticism from Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi, the National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, for wearing a watch with the image of the Ram Mandir on it. Maulana Razvi stated that according to Islamic law (Sharia), it is forbidden (haram) for any Muslim to promote the religious symbols, buildings, or temples of non-Muslims.

What Happened?

Recently, Salman Khan shared three pictures on Instagram where he was seen wearing a special watch featuring an image of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir. In the post, Salman wrote, “See you in cinemas this Eid.” However, this gesture has not been well-received by Maulana Razvi, who strongly opposed it.

Maulana Razvi’s Statement

In a video message, Maulana Razvi explained:

  • Salman Khan is a well-known Muslim actor admired by millions.
  • The watch he wore was made to promote the Ram Mandir.
  • According to Sharia, a Muslim is not allowed to promote the religious symbols or places of worship of other religions.
  • Wearing the Ram Mandir watch is considered a sin in Islam.
  • Maulana Razvi urged Salman Khan to remove the watch immediately.

He emphasized that such acts are forbidden in Islam and that Muslims should avoid them.

Salman Khan’s Upcoming Film

Salman Khan’s film “Sikandar” is set to release in cinemas on Eid, 30th March. The watch incident has sparked a debate and raised questions on religious sentiments and their impact on celebrities.
