RCB Captain IPL 2025: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has announced Rajat Patidar as the new captain for IPL 2025. Faf du Plessis Not Retained by RCB
In IPL 2024, South African cricketer Faf du Plessis was the captain of RCB. However, before IPL 2025, the team neither retained him nor bought him in the mega auction. Instead, Delhi Capitals signed du Plessis for ₹2 crore, and he will play for them in IPL 2025.
RCB Retained Only Three Players
Before the IPL 2025 mega auction, RCB retained only three players:
- Rajat Patidar – ₹11 crore
- Virat Kohli – ₹21 crore
- Yash Dayal – ₹5 crore
