The actor has recently started his own YouTube channel, and one of his latest videos has grabbed attention because of its unusual concept. Instead of sticking to a regular studio setup, Kush took his cooking skills to the streets of Mumbai.
Kush Shah Asks Strangers If He Can Cook At Their Homes
In his latest vlog, Kush approached people he didn’t know and asked them a simple but unexpected question — would they allow him to come to their house and cook a meal for them?
Understandably, some people were surprised by the request. Others recognised Kush from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and appeared more comfortable with the idea.
The experiment eventually worked when one family agreed to invite him over. Kush went to their home, cooked a meal and served the food himself.
The video offers fans a glimpse of the actor’s personality outside the character of Goli and shows him trying out a more personal and interactive style of content.
Kush Shah’s Life After TMKOC
Kush Shah left Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2024 after playing Goli for several years. He reportedly decided to pursue higher studies abroad and take some time to explore opportunities beyond the sitcom.
Following his departure, Dharmit Shah took over the character.
Kush later opened up about his decision during an appearance on the podcast Just Kidding with Sid. He explained that leaving the show wasn’t easy because he had spent a major part of his life on its sets.
The actor said he missed being on the sets because he considered them his home. However, after turning 27, he felt it was important to make a change and try something new.
‘I Love TMKOC,’ Says Kush
Even after leaving the show, Kush has made it clear that he continues to have a strong emotional connection with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
While talking about his exit, he said that he genuinely loved the show and the people he worked with. He also recalled how the team continued shooting during the COVID period, including a stint in Daman.
Kush’s move to YouTube appears to be his latest attempt to build a new identity beyond the character that made him famous.

First aired in 2008, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah remains one of India’s most recognisable and longest-running sitcoms. The series follows the lives, friendships and everyday adventures of residents of Gokuldham Co-operative Society.
Over the years, the show has featured actors such as Dilip Joshi, Amit Bhatt, Nitish Bhaluni, Sachin Shroff, Sunayana Fozdar and Mandar Chandwadkar, among others.
