The Himachal Pradesh Assembly session will resume on Monday at 2 PM. Last Friday’s session ended with disruptions, and more are expected today. The sixth day of the session will start with a question hour. After that, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will present two important documents in the assembly.

These documents include the annual administrative report of the Himachal Pradesh State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, Shimla for the year 2023-24 under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the annual administrative report of Himurja under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 for the year 2023-24.

Industry Minister to Present Documents

Following this, Industry Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan will present a document related to the recruitment and promotion rules of the Himachal Pradesh Industries Department, which was notified earlier this year. Two government bills will also be introduced in the assembly on Monday.

Revenue Minister to Address Discussion on Disaster

After completing the legislative work, Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi will respond to a discussion on the recent natural disasters under Rule 130. On Friday, the opposition had walked out, missing the discussion. The ruling party members discussed the issue alone.

Afterwards, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan requested the Speaker, Kuldeep Singh Pathania, to allow the government to respond to the disaster discussion on Monday. The Speaker granted this request.

Minister Jagat Singh Negi will address the damage caused by heavy rains, including the impact on roads, bridges, homes, crops, government buildings, private property, and water and irrigation systems. The opposition is expected to create an uproar during the government’s response.

Discussion on Law and Order Deterioration

Following this, there will be a proposal to discuss the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. This proposal has been brought by opposition members Trilok Jamwal, Balveer Singh Verma, Sukhram Chaudhary, and Rakesh Jamwal.

There is a high likelihood of chaos in the assembly during this discussion. Members from both the ruling and opposition parties will participate in the debate, with Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expected to respond afterward. Additionally, there are 36 unstarred questions listed for today’s assembly session.
