After 17 months in jail, Delhi’s former Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia, is finally out. His release has brought renewed energy to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Upon leaving jail, Sisodia first went to meet Arvind Kejriwal, his parents, wife, and children. He then took blessings from Bajrangbali (Lord Hanuman) at the ancient Hanuman temple in Connaught Place.
Now, Sisodia is heading to Rajghat to pay his respects at the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. Several leaders and workers from the AAP are expected to accompany him during this visit.
‘Kejriwal Will Also Receive Bajrangbali’s Blessings’
After offering prayers, Sisodia expressed his gratitude, saying, “Lord Bajrangbali has blessed me. Arvind Kejriwal also has Bajrangbali’s special blessings. You will see that Kejriwal will receive blessings in the same way.”
Addressing Party Workers
Later today, around 11 AM, Sisodia is scheduled to address AAP workers at the party headquarters. Sandeep Pathak, the AAP’s General Secretary and MP, has announced this program. Since Kejriwal’s imprisonment, many party workers have been feeling demotivated. Sisodia aims to reignite their enthusiasm.
Meeting with Kejriwal’s Family
After his release, Sisodia visited Arvind Kejriwal’s residence, where he met with Kejriwal’s parents and received their blessings. He also spoke with Delhi government ministers and MLAs, discussing Kejriwal’s health and other issues.
The Aam Aadmi Party is celebrating Sisodia’s release, with MP Sanjay Singh calling it a victory for democracy and the Constitution. A large crowd of supporters gathered to catch a glimpse of Sisodia, chanting slogans in his and Kejriwal’s favor. The police had to manage the crowd with barricades.
