MS Dhoni, one of the greatest finishers in cricket history, has faced many legendary bowlers in his career. But which bowler troubled him the most?

During an event organized by Mastercard India, Dhoni answered this question. He revealed the names of two bowlers whom he found the most difficult to play against.

Dhoni Names Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine

Dhoni considers Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine as the most dangerous bowlers. He said that batting against them is extremely challenging.

Both Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine play for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL.

  • Sunil Narine has taken 180 wickets in 176 IPL matches. He is considered one of the greatest spinners in IPL history.
  • Varun Chakravarthy has taken 83 wickets in 71 IPL matches.

Varun Chakravarthy’s Career

Recently, Varun Chakravarthy performed brilliantly in the Champions Trophy, where he was India’s highest wicket-taker.

  • He has played 4 ODI matches, taking 10 wickets at an economy of 4.75 and an average of 19.00.
  • In 18 T20 Internationals, he has taken 33 wickets with an economy of 7.02 and an average of 14.6.
