Nothing has officially revealed a new smartphone lineup called the B Series, marking the company’s latest effort to expand its product portfolio beyond the popular A Series and flagship models.
The announcement was made by Akis Evangelidis, Co-founder and President of Nothing India, who shared details about the new naming strategy on social media platform X.
Nothing Expands Its Smartphone Lineup
Since entering the smartphone market, Nothing has maintained a relatively simple product structure. The company’s flagship devices are launched under the numbered Phone series, while more affordable and mid-range models are sold under the A Series branding.
With the introduction of the B Series, Nothing is adding another category to target a different segment of smartphone buyers while keeping its product lineup organized.
What Does the ‘B’ in B Series Mean?
Addressing questions about the new branding, Evangelidis clarified that the letter “B” does not represent any specific feature or technology.
According to him, the company follows a straightforward naming convention where numbers indicate product generations, while letters are used to distinguish different smartphone categories.
He explained that the A Series has become Nothing’s most successful smartphone lineup, offering the brand’s signature design language and key features at more accessible prices. The newly introduced B Series is intended to complement the existing portfolio rather than replace any current products.
A Series to Remain Below Flagship Models
Nothing has confirmed that the A Series will continue to serve as its most premium offering below the flagship Phone lineup. The company believes this structure creates a clearer distinction between products and prevents confusion as more devices are added in the future.
The flagship smartphones will continue to launch without any letter designation, maintaining a separate identity from the company’s mid-range and budget-focused offerings.
Nothing Phone B Launch Expected in July
While Nothing has not officially announced the first device in the B Series, industry expectations suggest that the company could unveil the Nothing Phone B as early as July.
Details regarding specifications, pricing, and availability remain under wraps for now. However, the introduction of the new series indicates that Nothing is looking to strengthen its presence across multiple smartphone segments and reach a broader audience.
More information about the upcoming B Series smartphone is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
