PM Modi’s Varanasi Visit to Inaugurate Several Key Projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to embark on a two-day trip to Varanasi on February 22. During this visit, he will pay respects at the Sant Ravidas Temple and inaugurate the Kashipur Banas Complex Amul Plant spread across thirty acres in the Karhiyaanv Agro Park, with an estimated cost of 500 crores. The construction of the plant has been completed.

It is reported that the Prime Minister will also address a public gathering from the premises of the Amul Plant. Following this, the foundation stone for another unit of the BHEL, which includes the construction proposal for the Center of Excellence, could be laid at the Karhiyaanv Agro Park. Additionally, groundwork for the expansion project of the Babatpur Airport has begun, including land registration and tender processes.

Preparations are underway for the inauguration of various projects, including road widening projects and bridge construction, though the final list is yet to be confirmed. It is speculated that the Prime Minister may inaugurate projects worth more than two thousand crores. Although the protocol for the Prime Minister’s visit has not been issued yet, administrative machinery is gearing up for the same.

Reports have been sought from implementing agencies regarding the completion status of projects scheduled for February. Furthermore, it has been directed that if the work is completed, the relevant departments should proceed with the paperwork for handover. Any pending tasks, including painting, lighting, and other finishing works, are to be expedited without any negligence.

Inspections of electrical infrastructure and maintenance work have been conducted by the Director of Eastern Uttar Pradesh Power Distribution Corporation Limited, in anticipation of the proposed visit of the Prime Minister to Varanasi. Officers have been instructed to ensure timely completion of tasks with utmost quality.

The anticipation for the Prime Minister’s visit is high, with various developmental projects poised for inauguration, promising a boost to the region’s infrastructure and economy.
