Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai Earns Record Income of ₹133 Crore in a Year

The Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai is a major center of faith, attracting millions of devotees every year, including common people, celebrities, and billionaires. The temple has achieved record earnings in the financial year 2024-25, collecting ₹133 crore, the highest annual income ever recorded.


15% Increase in Income Compared to Last Year

The Siddhivinayak Temple earned ₹114 crore in the 2023-24 financial year. This year, the income increased by 15% to ₹133 crore. It is estimated that the temple’s annual income could reach ₹154 crore in the 2025-26 financial year.


How the Temple Earned ₹133 Crore

The temple’s income came from various sources, including:

  • Cash donations, online transactions, and gold & silver offerings: ₹7 crore
  • Cash collected from donation boxes: ₹98 crore
  • Income from puja bookings and prasad sales: ₹10 crore

The Siddhivinayak Temple Trust credited the increase in income to the growing number of devotees and the introduction of online donation options.


Devotees Flock to the Temple

The temple attracts millions of devotees every year, especially during Ganesh Chaturthi and other special occasions. Bollywood stars, businessmen, and people from all walks of life visit to seek blessings.


Comparison with Other Temples

Many religious places in India receive huge donations. For example:

  • The Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh earns ₹1,500 crore to ₹1,650 crore annually.
  • The Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Kerala earns ₹750 crore to ₹800 crore per year.

How Siddhivinayak Temple Uses the Donations

The Siddhivinayak Temple Trust uses the donation money for:

  • Temple maintenance, security, and expansion
  • Education and medical facilities
  • Helping the poor and social welfare programs
