Mohali Court’s Big Decision
Self-styled pastor Bajinder Singh from Punjab has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a Mohali court for a rape case. The court had already found him guilty in the last hearing on March 28, based on strong evidence and witness statements. Today, on Tuesday, April 1st, the court announced the final verdict.
The 2018 Case: A Long Fight for Justice
The rape case dates back to 2018. The victim claimed she had been fighting for justice for the last seven years, frequently visiting courts and police stations. She also stated that many other women had suffered due to Bajinder Singh’s exploitation.
Accusations of Forced Religious Conversion
The victim alleged that Bajinder Singh used religion to manipulate people and was involved in forced religious conversions. She also claimed that he received illegal funds from abroad for this purpose.
Victim Demands Strict Punishment
The complainant called Bajinder Singh a monster and demanded a minimum sentence of 20 years. She emphasized that he misused his position as a pastor to exploit and deceive people.
