Trisha Krishnan Shares Heartwarming Moment With Vijay’s Mother at Oath Ceremony

Actor Trisha Krishnan was among the early attendees at the oath-taking ceremony of actor-politician Vijay on Sunday in Chennai, but it was her heartfelt interaction with Vijay’s mother, Shoba Chandrasekhar, that drew attention online.

Visuals from the event held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium showed Trisha warmly greeting Shoba Chandrasekhar as she arrived at the venue. The two shared a brief hug before taking their seats in the front row, creating one of the most talked-about moments from the ceremony.

Trisha Krishnan’s Traditional Look Wins Praise

For the ceremony, Trisha chose a blue silk Kanjeevaram saree from Pothys, paired with a beige embroidered blouse. Her look was styled by Eka Lakhani and Harshene Ravichandar, adding an elegant traditional touch to the high-profile political event.

The actress attended the ceremony along with her mother, Uma Krishnan. Earlier, Trisha had expressed that she was “looking forward” to witnessing the historic occasion.

Vijay Takes Oath, Promises Transparent Governance

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Vijay’s family members, party leaders, film industry colleagues and close associates. Producer KL Narayana, lyricist Vivek and actor Jai were also present at the event.

In his first speech after taking office, Vijay said that a “new phase of governance” had begun with a focus on real secularism, social justice and transparent administration. Cabinet colleagues Adhav Arjuna and KR Arunraj also addressed the gathering and echoed similar views.

Vijay and Trisha’s Long Film Association

Trisha Krishnan and Vijay have shared a successful on-screen partnership for over two decades. The duo appeared together in several hit Tamil films including:

  • Thirupaachi
  • Aathi
  • Kuruvi

They reunited in Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, where they played a married couple. Trisha also made a special appearance in the song “Matta” from The Greatest of All Time.
