Vivo is gearing up to launch its latest V-series smartphone, the Vivo V80, in India on October 6. The new smartphone will focus on photography, video recording, display quality and battery life, while also introducing Vivo’s latest OriginOS 7 software.
The Vivo V80 is expected to compete in the premium smartphone segment with features such as a 50MP ZEISS camera system, 144Hz OLED display, 7,200mAh battery and 90W fast charging.
Vivo V80 India Launch Date and Time
Vivo has confirmed that the Vivo V80 will launch in India on October 6, 2026, at 12 PM. The company is expected to reveal the smartphone’s official price, storage variants and complete specifications during the launch event.
The Vivo V80 will be sold through Vivo’s official online store, Amazon India, Flipkart and authorised offline retail outlets.
Vivo V80 Camera Specifications
Camera performance is one of the biggest highlights of the Vivo V80. The smartphone will feature a camera system developed in partnership with ZEISS, with a focus on portrait photography, low-light images and video recording.
The rear camera setup will include a 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera using Sony’s LYTIA 700V sensor. It will be accompanied by a 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera with an IMX882 sensor, optical image stabilisation and 3x optical zoom.
The camera system will support up to 100x zoom, while a ZEISS ultra-wide-angle camera will provide a wider field of view for landscapes, group photos and other scenes.
For selfies and video calls, the Vivo V80 will feature a 50MP ZEISS Group Selfie camera with autofocus and a 92-degree field of view.
Vivo V80 4K Video and AI Camera Features
Vivo is also targeting content creators with the V80. The smartphone will support 4K Cinematic Video and 4K video recording at 60fps, giving users more options for shooting high-resolution videos.
The company has also highlighted more than 30 AI-powered creative features. One of them is AI Diwali Portrait 2.0, which is designed to enhance festive photographs by improving elements such as warm lighting, rangoli and toran details.
Other AI-based features include Pet Pals, Snap Note and Security Shield. Vivo will also offer creative tools such as Live Sticker Collage, which allows users to create social-media-ready content directly on the smartphone.
Vivo V80 Display and Design
The Vivo V80 is expected to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The screen will support 1.07 billion colours and is claimed to reach a local peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits.
For comfortable viewing in darker environments, the display can reportedly reduce brightness to as low as 1 nit.
Vivo is also focusing on the phone’s design. The V80 will feature slim 1.25mm bezels, a one-piece cold-carved glass back and a redesigned floating camera module.
The smartphone will be offered in three colour options:

Vivo V80 Battery and Fast Charging
Battery life is another major feature of the Vivo V80. The smartphone will come with a large 7,200mAh battery, which Vivo says is the biggest battery capacity ever offered in its V-series lineup.
According to the company, the battery can provide up to 14 hours of continuous navigation and up to 39.5 hours of local video playback.
The phone will support 90W FlashCharge fast charging. Vivo claims that the battery can reach around 50% charge in approximately 30 minutes when Fast Charging Mode is enabled.
Vivo V80 Software
The Vivo V80 will run on OriginOS 7, Vivo’s latest software platform. The new software will be paired with the phone’s AI-powered tools and creative features, giving users additional options for photography, content creation and everyday tasks.
Vivo V80 Price in India
Vivo has not announced the official Vivo V80 price in India yet. The final price is expected to be revealed during the October 6 launch event.
Previous reports have suggested that the Vivo V80 could be priced above ₹55,000, but this remains unconfirmed until Vivo officially announces the pricing.

Following its launch, the Vivo V80 is expected to be available through Vivo’s official website, Amazon India, Flipkart and authorised offline retail stores.
