Zee Studios is gearing up for an eventful 2026-27 season with a wide-ranging film lineup featuring prominent stars and stories from several Indian film industries. The studio has announced projects in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam and Gujarati, highlighting its growing focus on regional and multilingual cinema.

The upcoming movies cover a variety of genres, including action, drama, thrillers and mythology, offering audiences a mix of mainstream entertainment and region-specific storytelling.

Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt and Other Stars Head Hindi Lineup

The Hindi section of Zee Studios’ upcoming slate features several well-known names.

Baap is among the major projects and stars Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff and Mithun Chakraborty. The film brings four veteran actors together for a project that has already attracted attention.

The studio is also backing Ram Bhoomi, which features Anupam Kher and Amruta Khanvilkar.

Another upcoming Hindi title is Delhi 2021, led by Richa Chadha, while Blind Babu features actors such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pavan Malhotra and Zakir Hussain.

The combination of established performers and different genres gives the Hindi lineup considerable variety.

Nandamuri Balakrishna Leads Telugu Projects

Telugu cinema has a significant presence in Zee Studios’ new slate.

The studio has announced projects including Indraputra, NBK111, Kanaka Durga and Anasuya General Stores.

Among the most talked-about titles is NBK111, which features Telugu star Nandamuri Balakrishna. The lineup demonstrates Zee Studios’ continued interest in producing and supporting large-scale regional cinema.

New Tamil and Kannada Projects

The studio is also expanding its portfolio in southern Indian markets.

Its Tamil lineup includes Hi and Sathyavan Savitri, while Kannada cinema will see the release of Anna from Mexico.

These projects form part of Zee Studios’ broader strategy to invest in stories that are closely connected to individual regional audiences while also having the potential to travel beyond their original markets.

Marathi and Gujarati Films Add More Variety

Marathi cinema remains another important area for Zee Studios.

The upcoming Marathi projects include Jhep, Phulwara, Maan and Jogai. The studio has also been associated with acclaimed Marathi films, including Aatmapamphlet, which earned national recognition.

In Gujarati cinema, Zee Studios is preparing Tom and Cherry, adding another regional language to its expanding film portfolio.

Zee Studios’ Multilingual Strategy

The studio says its decision to work across languages is driven by India’s cultural and cinematic diversity.

A Zee Studios spokesperson explained that different regions have their own audiences, filmmakers, creative traditions and entertainment preferences. Rather than following a single approach, the studio wants its content slate to reflect these differences.

The company is also looking to strengthen its position in established markets while identifying opportunities in emerging language industries.

Building a Pan-India Content Network

Zee Studios’ latest lineup reflects the changing nature of Indian cinema, where regional stories are increasingly finding audiences outside their home markets.

By combining Hindi productions with projects from Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati and other industries, the studio is aiming to build a broader content ecosystem.

With major actors, diverse genres and films from multiple regions, the Zee Studios 2026-27 movie slate is shaping up to be one of the studio’s most varied lineups, with several projects expected to attract attention as they move closer to release.
