Atishi On Arvind Kejriwal: On Friday (September 20), the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of trying to increase electricity prices in Delhi through the Lieutenant Governor, Vinay Kumar Saxena. To prevent this, AAP urged people to defeat the BJP in the upcoming Assembly elections and re-elect Arvind Kejriwal.

Delhi’s new Chief Minister, Atishi, alleged that the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government’s electricity model is “the most expensive and faces long power cuts.”

Appeal to the People of Delhi

Atishi said that choosing Arvind Kejriwal as the Chief Minister will save Delhi residents from rising electricity prices. She added, “What we see happening in Uttar Pradesh, we might see in Delhi if you don’t choose Kejriwal. Only Arvind Kejriwal can provide 24/7 free electricity every day. In the next four months, I will protect the people of Delhi because the BJP might try to increase electricity rates.”

‘Electricity Loot Will Be Investigated’

In response to Atishi’s statement, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva said that if their government comes to power in February, they will investigate the “loot” by the Kejriwal government and private electricity distribution companies, ensuring a refund wherever possible.

Preparing to Defeat BJP

For a long time, the BJP and AAP have been accusing each other in the race for control over Delhi and the country. As the Delhi Assembly elections approach, this tension has reached its peak. AAP is now working on a strategy to defeat the BJP and form the government in Delhi for the fourth time.
