According to Indian Railways, train number 22435, which runs from Varanasi to New Delhi, has been canceled on September 9, 2024, due to unavoidable circumstances. The railway authorities have apologized for the inconvenience caused to passengers.
Engine Malfunction
Sources familiar with the incident claim that the Vande Bharat train traveling from New Delhi to Varanasi was delayed and stopped near Bharathna in Etawah. Due to a technical fault, the train service from New Delhi to Varanasi was delayed.

The train was stopped at the outer signal of Bharathna Railway Station because of an engine problem. The Delhi-Howrah rail route was disrupted for about an hour. Railway technical teams were present at the site, and several express trains, including the Shatabdi, were also halted.
