IPL 2025: Rajasthan Royals Get New Batting Coach, Has Worked with Rahul Dravid to Make India World Champion

The IPL team Rajasthan Royals recently appointed Rahul Dravid as their new head coach. Now, the RR franchise has brought Vikram Rathour on board as their batting coach. Vikram was previously the batting coach of the Indian cricket team, but his tenure ended after the T20 World Cup 2024. He will now work with Rahul Dravid at Rajasthan Royals.

Rahul Dravid and Vikram Rathour have previously helped Team India reach the finals of the 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup and win the T20 World Cup in 2024. Their partnership will now aim to make Rajasthan Royals champions.

Vikram Rathour expressed his happiness about being chosen as the batting coach, saying, “It is an honor to be part of the Rajasthan Royals family. I am excited to work with Rahul Dravid again and to coach young cricketers. I am committed to helping the team grow and bringing out top talent for both Rajasthan and India, which will help us win championships.”

Vikram Rathour’s Contribution to Team India

Vikram Rathour joined the Indian national cricket team as the batting coach in 2019. Before his tenure ended in 2024, he played a key role in helping players like Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and KL Rahul achieve success and reach new heights.

On Vikram Rathour joining Rajasthan Royals, Rahul Dravid also shared his thoughts, saying that Vikram’s experience, skills, calm nature, and deep understanding of Indian cricket make him a great asset for the team. Dravid expressed his happiness in working with Vikram again.
