On Wednesday, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren met his look-alike, Munna Lohra, a theater artist from Hatia. Munna Lohra’s family also accompanied him during this meeting. Sharing the experience on his social media account, the CM wrote, “One Hemant meets another Hemant. It was a pleasure meeting skilled theater artist Munna Lohra and his family, and we had a long conversation.”
After meeting the CM, Munna Lohra expressed his gratitude and said, “It’s God’s grace that I look like you.” Munna Lohra described himself as a fan of CM Soren, calling him his role model, and said, “It’s my good fortune to meet the Chief Minister. Meeting him felt like a dream come true.”
Policy for Artists’ Development
During the meeting, Munna Lohra also informed the CM about the problems faced by theater artists. In response, CM Soren acknowledged that he is well aware of the challenges artists face and has observed them closely. He promised that the state government would work with commitment to support the artists. He mentioned that many artists and athletes from Jharkhand have made the state proud on both national and international stages. The government will develop better policies to ensure that artists connected to theater can live a respectable life, and positive steps will be taken for their overall development.

CM Soren also shared a memory of the Jharkhand movement, saying that during the fight for a separate state, many people used to resemble his father, Shibu Soren. He fondly remembered those times and said it was a coincidence that his look-alike (Munna Lohra) was now sitting in front of him. The CM wished Munna Lohra success in his field and presented him with a memento during the meeting.
