Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025: President Droupadi Murmu visited the holy Mahakumbh in Prayagraj on Monday. She took a sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet. After the ritual bath, she performed special prayers at the Sangam.
The President was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel during the event.
Visit to Temples and Digital Experience Center
As per an earlier statement from the President’s Office, President Murmu planned to visit the Akshayavat and Hanuman Temple after the holy dip. She also visited the Digital Kumbh Experience Center. CM Yogi Adityanath accompanied her to these spiritual landmarks.
Before her arrival, the President’s official social media account posted that she received a warm welcome from Governor Anandiben Patel and CM Yogi Adityanath.
Mahakumbh 2025 Dates
The Mahakumbh Mela, which began on January 13, is the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering. It attracts millions of devotees from across India and the globe. The event will conclude on February 26, coinciding with Maha Shivaratri.
Interestingly, India’s first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, had also participated in the Mahakumbh and performed the sacred ritual during his tenure.
