In Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, a new development has emerged in the case where two girls’ bodies were found hanging from a tree. The post-mortem report revealed that the girls died due to asphyxiation, suggesting that they might have committed suicide. Following complaints from the family, the police have filed a case for incitement to murder.
Dr. Avnendra Singh, the Chief Medical Officer, stated that the police conducted the post-mortem with videography and a panel of doctors. He confirmed that the deaths were due to hanging and that there were no signs of physical injuries on the bodies. SP Alok Priyadarshi mentioned that the police investigation and post-mortem report are consistent. He said that the girls had committed suicide, and no injury marks were found on their bodies. The police are now investigating the reasons that led the girls to take this drastic step. According to the police, the girls were close friends and lived in the same neighborhood.
Meanwhile, the father of one of the deceased girls has claimed that the post-mortem report is false and fabricated. The family refused to cremate the bodies and demanded a meeting with the District Magistrate and SP. Following this, both officials visited the scene and assured the family of a swift investigation. After receiving assurances from senior officials, the family agreed to proceed with the cremation.
According to the FIR, Deepak from the Kampil area of Farrukhabad and Pawan from Bhagwatipur village in Kaimganj were in contact with the girls.
