Putin Waits 10 Minutes for ‘Friend’ Modi, Then Holds a One-Hour Private Talk

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to China became historic in many ways. His meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin showed strong friendship, leaving leaders like Donald Trump and Shehbaz Sharif surprised. A key highlight was that Modi and Putin traveled together in the same car.


Putin Waited for Modi

During the SCO Summit in Tianjin, China, an interesting incident took place. President Putin wanted to travel in the same car with PM Modi. For this, he waited nearly 10 minutes for the Indian leader. After that, both leaders sat together in the car and discussed several issues on the way to their meeting venue.

Even after reaching the location, Modi and Putin continued their private talks for about 45 minutes inside the car before moving to the hotel for their official meeting.


A Warm Bilateral Meeting

According to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, the two leaders held close face-to-face talks for almost an hour in the car. Later, they had a formal bilateral meeting at the hotel, which also lasted about an hour.

PM Modi shared a picture on social media from inside Putin’s Aurus limousine, showing both leaders together. He wrote that conversations with President Putin are always meaningful and productive.


Modi’s Call for Peace

During their talks, PM Modi reminded President Putin that the Ukraine conflict must end as soon as possible. He stressed that it is the demand of humanity to stop the war quickly and work towards lasting peace in the region.
