SP posted on X (formerly Twitter): “In the No.1 BJP government for crimes against women, yet another disturbing incident! In Siddharthnagar, the ambulance driver and his accomplice attempted to rape a woman in front of her sick husband and brother. When they failed, they removed the oxygen mask from her husband, threw him out of the ambulance, leading to his death. The culprits must face the harshest punishment.”

Details of the Incident

This incident reportedly took place in Siddharthnagar. On August 28, the victim had admitted her sick husband to a private hospital in Lucknow. Due to financial constraints, she decided to discharge him and take him home. The hospital provided her with the contact number of a private ambulance driver to transport her husband.

Attempted Rape in Front of Husband and Brother

The woman, along with her 17-year-old brother, was taking her sick husband home in the ambulance. The driver asked her to sit in the front seat, claiming that it would prevent the police from stopping them. When she moved to the front, the driver and his accomplice attempted to assault her.

When the accused failed in their attempt, they physically assaulted her and threw her out of the vehicle. They also robbed her of money, jewelry, and her mobile phone before fleeing. During the scuffle, they removed the oxygen mask from her sick husband, which led to his death.
