WhatsApp New Privacy Update: No One Can Save Your Photos Without Permission

WhatsApp is planning a new update to make your chats even more private. According to WABetaInfo, this update is currently being tested for iPhone users under the TestFlight beta program. The version being tested is 25.10.10.70.

What’s New in This WhatsApp Update?

With this new feature:

  • No one can save the photos or videos you send without your permission.
  • Others also can’t forward your chat to anyone else without your consent.

This makes WhatsApp more secure and gives you better control over your shared content.

How Will This Feature Work?

  • The feature will only work if you enable it.
  • You can turn it on for specific chats by going to the person’s profile settings and selecting “Advanced Chat Privacy”.
  • It works for both personal chats and group chats.
  • This is similar to the Disappearing Messages feature, where chats get automatically deleted after some time.

Chat Lock Feature in WhatsApp

WhatsApp also has a Chat Lock feature:

  • You can hide any chat from your main chat list.
  • To find the hidden chat, you must enter a password in the search bar.
  • Once you exit the chat, it automatically locks again.

This gives users more privacy and control over sensitive conversations.
