Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha and a senior Congress leader, is currently visiting Bihar. He arrived in Begusarai to join the ‘Stop Migration, Give Jobs’ padyatra (march) started by Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar. This is Rahul Gandhi’s third visit to Bihar in the last two months, showing Congress’s growing activity in the state.
Giriraj Singh Attacks Rahul Gandhi
Union Minister Giriraj Singh made strong comments about Rahul Gandhi’s visit. He sarcastically said that Rahul Gandhi should stop his own “migration” first—referring to how he shifted his parliamentary seat from Uttar Pradesh to Kerala.
“Bihar Has Changed a Lot Now” – Giriraj Singh
While speaking to news agency ANI, Giriraj Singh said, “A lot has changed in Bihar under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Compare Bihar before 2005 and now—you will see the difference. People have got jobs.”
He also reminded that Rahul Gandhi is visiting Begusarai, where his father Rajiv Gandhi had once promised a petrochemical plant in 1985, but it was never built. “Rahul himself has been MP twice but didn’t do anything. It was the Modi government that invested ₹25,000 crore and set up a refinery there,” Giriraj added.
“Rahul Gandhi Hates Saffron Color”
Giriraj Singh also commented on Rahul Gandhi’s choice of clothing, saying, “He hates the saffron color, that’s why he chose white.” This was in reference to Rahul’s recent message encouraging people to wear white T-shirts during the padyatra.
Rahul Gandhi Appeals to Bihar Youth
Before the event, Rahul Gandhi posted a one-minute video on social media platform ‘X’. In the video, he urged Bihar’s youth to wear white and join the march. He said, “Our goal is to bring global attention to the problems faced by Bihar’s youth. Government jobs are disappearing and privatization is not helping. Stand up for your rights and raise your voice to bring change.”
