ICC World Test Championship: The ICC started the World Test Championship (WTC) in 2019 to make Test cricket more exciting. Since then, most Test matches have been played under the WTC. There have been two finals so far, but the Indian team has not been able to win the title, even though they reached the final twice. Let’s take a look at which team has won the most matches in the WTC since 2019.

New Zealand and Australia Have Won the WTC
So far, the WTC final has been played twice. New Zealand won the first time, and Australia won the second time. However, when it comes to the team with the most wins, both Australia and India are at the top. The Australian team has played 46 matches under the WTC and won 28 of them. They have lost 10 matches and are currently leading the WTC points table.

India and Australia Have Won the Most Matches in the WTC
India is right behind Australia. Since 2019, the Indian team has also played 46 matches under the WTC, the same as Australia, and has won 28 matches. India has lost 13 matches, and five matches ended in a draw. In the current WTC points table, India is in the first position, making it likely that they will play in the final again, scheduled for next year in 2025.

England and New Zealand Have Also Performed Well
After India and Australia, England is the next team. The England cricket team has played 56 matches under the WTC since 2019 and has won 27 of them. They have lost 21 matches. Although England has won 27 matches, they have played more matches, so they haven’t gained the same advantage as India and Australia. Following these top three teams, New Zealand is in fourth place, but their number of wins is much lower. New Zealand has played 31 matches under the WTC and won 15 of them. Other teams have performed even worse.
