The Congress party has not yet released its list of candidates for the Haryana Assembly Elections. However, Congress MP Kumari Selja has expressed her desire to contest in the elections. She mentioned that the final decision will be made by the party high command. According to her, the central committee is carefully considering all factors before finalizing the list of candidates.
Kumari Selja is seen as a potential Chief Minister candidate for the Congress in Haryana. According to a report by The Hindu, Selja said that the final decision on the Chief Minister’s candidate will be made by the high command. She added, “The high command can choose anyone from the 36 communities, including the Dalit community. This applies to ticket distribution as well.”

Currently, Congress is working on possible alliances with its INDIA coalition partners like the Samajwadi Party and AAP. The first list of Congress candidates is expected soon. When asked if she will contest the election, Kumari Selja said, “The final decision will be made by the high command. They will decide if I will contest or not. The decision will be made after proper discussions.” Selja is a significant Dalit leader in Haryana and has won the Lok Sabha seat from Sirsa.
