Hezbollah has continued its attacks on Israel, with the latest incident involving the launch of 10 rockets into northern Israel. Reports suggest that Israel’s air defense system was unable to intercept these rockets.
According to the Times of Israel, Hezbollah carried out a major attack in northern Israel, firing 10 rockets. Unfortunately, Israel’s air defense system failed to destroy several of these rockets. So far, there have been no reports of casualties or damage from the rocket attack.
Earlier, on Sunday, Hezbollah carried out multiple drone attacks on an Israeli base located southwest of the city of Safed in northern Israel. In a statement, Hezbollah said, “On Saturday, Islamic Resistance fighters launched a drone attack on the Mitchwe Elon base.” This base is crucial for Israeli forces in the northern region and contains emergency supplies, which is why Hezbollah targeted it. The attack injured several people. Hezbollah stated that this attack was in response to the killing of a Hamas official during a raid in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon on Friday.
According to the Xinhua news agency, the Hamas official, Samar al-Haj, was killed in an Israeli drone strike on Friday near the city of Sidon. Lebanese military sources, speaking anonymously to Xinhua, reported that Israeli drones and fighter jets carried out 10 airstrikes on six villages and towns in the southern Lebanon border area, injuring three civilians and destroying 18 homes.
There is a tense atmosphere in Lebanon following Israeli attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut, known as Dahiya. In these attacks, Hezbollah’s senior military commander Fouad Shukr was killed. Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, has threatened retaliatory action.
