Today, Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the inauguration of the Armed Forces Ceremony. He said that during this grand event, we all witnessed how, under the unified command of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Army, Navy, and Air Force work together to defeat the enemy and achieve victory.

In his speech, CM Yogi said that the Armed Forces are not just a defense structure but also a strong foundation for our nation’s security. Our brave soldiers are always ready to serve the country, even at the risk of their own lives. This is why they are respected as national heroes by the people. We are proud to have such a capable and dedicated army that can protect the country in any situation.

CM Yogi also said that India’s army is unique in the world, known for its strength, discipline, and technical capabilities. Our soldiers have proven themselves not only in battles but also in challenging situations within the country. Their vigilance ensures that India can protect its borders and counter any major threats. The bravery and valor of our soldiers give confidence to 140 crore Indians.

He added that it is a matter of pride that Uttar Pradesh is the land of brave warriors. In every war, the youth of our state have played a significant role in securing the country. They have brought honor to both the nation and the state with their courage and valor. The state government is fully committed to the welfare of serving soldiers, retired soldiers, and war widows. The government provides a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the families of soldiers who sacrifice their lives for the country, offers a job to a family member in government service, and ensures that the memory of the martyred soldier is kept alive through memorials and naming institutions after them.

Uttar Pradesh Will Always Play a Leading Role: CM

CM Yogi Adityanath mentioned that the work on two important projects in the Defense Industrial Corridor—DRDO BrahMos in Lucknow and Bharat Dynamics Limited in the Jhansi node—is progressing rapidly. These projects will strengthen the country’s military power and national security. The development of advanced equipment and technology will take place on Indian soil, further strengthening our services. Uttar Pradesh will always play a leading role in these national defense efforts.

He also said that the Defense Corridor is creating widespread employment opportunities for the youth of the state. In February 2020, the successful Defense Expo was held in the state capital, Lucknow. The Defense Expo proved to be very important for investment. Defense sector organizations like HAL, Ordnance Factories, and Bharat Electronics Limited are already operating in Uttar Pradesh, and the state government is committed to their expansion. He concluded by saying that the Armed Forces Ceremony will inspire our society and the younger generation. This event offers the public a chance to understand the strength of our army and the significant contribution of our soldiers to national security. He extended his best wishes to all three armed forces.
