TDP MLA Accused of Rape by Woman, Party Suspends Him

Accusations and Viral Video

In Andhra Pradesh’s Tirupati district, a video showing TDP MLA Koneti Adimulam with a female party leader has gone viral. The woman has accused Adimulam of threatening and sexually assaulting her. The video has spread on social media, but Adimulam claims it is a morphed video.

FIR and Denials

The woman has filed an FIR against Adimulam for sexual harassment. However, the video does not clearly show where or when it was filmed, nor can it be confirmed if Adimulam is in the video.

Adimulam denies the allegations, claiming that the video has been tampered with and that there is a conspiracy against him by other party members. He also denies having any relationship with the woman.

Background on Koneti Adimulam

Koneti Adimulam is a legislator from the Satya Vedu constituency in Andhra Pradesh. He was previously with the YSRC Party but joined TDP after not receiving a ticket for the 2024 elections. TDP then made him their candidate.

Action by TDP

Following the allegations, TDP has taken action against Adimulam. The party has suspended him due to the sexual harassment accusations. The order was issued by state president Palla Srinivas.
