Many areas in Delhi-NCR experienced heavy rainfall, causing problems for people, including waterlogging in several places. This led to traffic jams, making it difficult for commuters. The weather department had predicted heavy rain along with thunderstorms in the capital today.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), August 2024 could become the month with the highest rainfall in the last decade for the national capital, with a total of 269.9 mm of rain recorded so far. This is more than the highest rainfall recorded in August 2014.
Weather experts have predicted light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in Delhi over the next seven days.
