Delhi Firecrackers Ban 2024: Big Decision Before Diwali

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi has once again banned firecrackers ahead of Diwali. This means that people in Delhi will not be able to burst firecrackers this year during Diwali. The government has taken this decision to control air pollution, which causes problems for people during the winter season.

Delhi’s Environment Minister, Gopal Rai, announced this on Monday. He said that the ban on the production, storage, sale, and use of firecrackers will be in effect until January 1, 2025.

Strict Enforcement of the Ban

Gopal Rai mentioned that to strictly implement the ban on firecrackers, a plan will be made with the Delhi Police, the Delhi Pollution Control Board, and the Revenue Department.

Campaigns Against Pollution

The minister also said that the Delhi government is serious about controlling pollution. The government is preparing a Winter Action Plan focused on 21 key points. Various campaigns will be launched according to this plan in the coming days.

Appeal for Cooperation

The government has requested the people of Delhi to cooperate in controlling pollution. Everyone must take responsibility to reduce pollution in the city.

Celebrate Diwali Differently

The minister urged citizens to celebrate Diwali by lighting lamps and sharing sweets. He said that by doing this, people can help control pollution and also save lives from the harmful effects of air pollution.
