Union Minister Giriraj Singh has strongly criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He stated that Mamata Banerjee has lost in Bengal and is no longer popular, which is why she is using undemocratic language and breaking the federal structure. Giriraj Singh also accused leaders like Lalu Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, and Rahul Gandhi of ignoring the issues in Bengal, particularly the crimes against women, just because they stand with Mamata Banerjee.

Giriraj Singh made these remarks while speaking to journalists at Patna Airport on Thursday, August 29. When asked about Mamata Banerjee’s statement that she would not resign and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should resign instead, and that if Bengal burns, so will Bihar, Odisha, and Jharkhand, Giriraj Singh responded by saying that such words do not belong to a democratic leader. He compared Mamata Banerjee to North Korea’s President Kim Jong-un, saying that just like Kim Jong-un does not tolerate opposition, Mamata Banerjee does not tolerate her opponents.

Giriraj Singh Calls Waqf Board Unconstitutional

In another statement, Giriraj Singh also commented on the Waqf Board. When asked about a notice issued by the Waqf Board to a village near Patna, he said, “The Waqf Board is unconstitutional. There is no place for the Waqf Board in the Constitution.” He further criticized Rahul Gandhi, saying, “Rahul Gandhi is trying to set India on fire for votes, just as his leader said they would burn India like Bangladesh. That’s exactly what they are doing.”
